So, about 6:00 Friday evening, Tal and I decided we would should have a beach trip. So, we called up a hotel, made a reservation, ate dinner, packed, and was on our way! We put Aiden in his pajamas since we were leaving basically at his bed time and he slept the entire way!
We got to Destin around 10:30 and got checked into the hotel. Then.. Aiden woke up and was so excited and ready to play! This was Aiden’s first time in a hotel, so we already knew we were in for a long night. Aiden wouldn't fall asleep in the pack and play so he wrestled us in our bed until he finally gave in and fell asleep around 12:30 and then we were able to move him to his “bed” and he slept until 7:00 Saturday morning.
Saturday we made our way onto the beach, it was Aiden’s first time ever! He LOVED it! He has a ton of sand toys and got right to work shoveling, filling buckets, and building “castles”
And, OF COURSE, Daddy had to get in on the action…
We weren’t planning on getting in the water. It was still a little cold for that, and I hadn’t even bought Aiden a swimsuit yet. However, Aiden had different plans. He spotted the water and took his Daddy by the hand and headed that way!
Then, Aiden decided we weren’t letting him get close enough, so we let him do it himself. Of course THIS is what happened…
Now that Aiden had gotten into the water, that’s all he wanted to do! Here’s Mommy and Aiden “jumping” the waves…
We only stayed a few more minutes afterwards, because it really was too cool to be running around in wet clothes, but here are a couple more cute pictures…
Afterwards, we went to the Crab Shack for lunch and Aiden couldn’t wait to get back out on the beach and play some more!
Later, we went to the Gulf Breeze Zoo and then to the Destin Commons Mall, but my camera somehow lost all of those photos. He had a great time at both places though! He especially enjoyed seeing the Easter Bunny and Puppy walking around Destin Commons. He squealed and pointed, ran toward them and danced around but would never get close enough to touch them. He wasn’t too sure about the touching.
Hopefully, we can get back down there soon. We only stayed one day, and I think Aiden was really just getting started. I’m so glad he had such a good time and I can’t wait for next time!

These pictures are precious! SO glad that you guys had a good time at the beach.
What a great story and wonderful pictures. I think the "little redhead" is going to return to the gulf soon, if he can talk mom and dad into making the trip. .........aka "Mickey"
