After leaving San Francisco, we continued on to Napa, California to see some wineries. Our first stop was the Domaine Carneros Winery. It was very beautiful!
Even though we had three kids in tow, we were determined to do some wine tasting.. I mean, why else do you go to a winery?! So we did a quick tasting and we kept the kids entertained with sparkling grape juice (made at this very winery) and a yummy cheese and dried fruit platter! Everything was VERY good!
Next stop, was the Beringer winery. Beringer is Tal and my favorite wine and it is actually the oldest operating winery in the area.. It was even more beautiful than the first winery. We all tasted a glass of wine here too, but we didn’t sit down and do a full tasting like we did at the first place.. however, it was free thanks to Barri and Tim joining the “wine club” and, of couse, the wine was awesome! Aiden didn’t get to see much of this place.. he fell asleep on the way over and didn’t even wake up when we put him in the stroller.. he woke up shortly before we left, so I do have a couple pictures with an awake Aiden in them!
The kids were very tired by the time we headed home, but it really was an awesome day, and we have so many great memories and photos from the trip!

San Francisco
On Monday, June 27th we headed over to San Francisco for some site seeing. The weather was nice in Roseville as we loaded up to leave. We were all dressed in shorts or sleeveless shirts and sandals and were very comfortable. Too bad it was in the 50’s and very windy in San Francisco! Needless to say, our first stop was a shop to buy our very first souvenirs of the trip… San Francisco fleece jackets!
We then headed over to the Rainforest CafĂ© for lunch. It was so yummy and the atmosphere was so cool! If' you’ve never been to one, let me explain. The place is decorated so that it feels like you are walking into a jungle. All types of animals and plants and even a waterfall! Every so often the animals “come to life” and begin moving and making sounds! It’s such a blast! Aiden LOVED it! However, he was NOT happy with us when we wouldn’t let him get up from the table to go “get” the animals!
Next we were off to see some site.. Pier 39 and the Golden Gate Bridge…
And of course, by the time we made it back into the van.. the babies were out! But if was a great time!
Tal and I sat in the back with Noah, and we like to take pictures! Next stop.. Wine Country!

Cousins!!!
To say that Aiden was happy to see Noah and Peyton is a complete understatement! He was ecstatic to play with his cousins.. and boy did they play! The three of them played from the time they woke up to the time they fell asleep. They went from the bottom of the house to the top and from the back to the front. Aiden was always running behind his “No No” and if Peyton was in his walker, he was right behind them! They has several favorite games, and we were able to get some on video!
“Ready Set… GO!” was a game they played as they ran from the kitchen to the den and back again…
And then there was the dancing.. Thanks to “Yo Gabba Gabba” We can now all do the “jumping jellyfish”…
They really just enjoyed each other’s company…

California Bound
We headed out on Wednesday, June 22, leaving the house around 4:00 AM. We went from Dothan to Atlanta and from Atlanta to Sacramento. We were in the air for around 6 hours!
Aiden was a real trooper. He drank juice, ate snacks, played with stickers, pushed buttons on the tv screens on the back of the seats and eventually settled down and took a nap! (That was the best part of the flight for Tal and me)
I’m going to split our trip into several different blog posts to keep from having one overly long post. I’m also dating each entry for the day that the event happened. I just want it to be easy to follow when, in the future, we look back through the blog at all of our great memories!
