Aiden and I made another beach trip this weekend. We rode down on Thursday with Keisha and Ryleigh and stayed until Friday evening. We had a great time!
Thursday night we went out to Baytowne to have dinner out on the water and listen to some live music. Aiden and Ryleigh LOVED the music! They danced and danced the night away!
We attempted a photo shoot of Aiden and Ryleigh in their matching “jellyfish” outfits.. but they were not feeling it.. they wouldn’t sit still. Here is a cute picture that Keisha managed to snap.
We spent most of the day Friday on the beach or in the pool.. here are a few good shots.
After a short nap for Ryleigh and Aiden we headed out to Destin Commons for a little shopping, dinner, and OF COURSE a train ride!
We had a fun time with great friends and can’t wait to go back! I’m so glad that Aiden has such great friends to grow up and experience life with!!

Aiden’s 18 month photos
We finally had Aiden’s 18 month photos made! I know he’s not 18 months old anymore, but.. better late than never, I guess!
We had them taken that the Dothan Botanical Gardens. Heather Adcock, of Adcock Photography did them, just as she did his one year photos, and she always does a great job.
It was the middle of the day and it was probably close to 100 degrees.. Aiden was sweaty, the gnats wouldn’t stay out of his face, and he was ready for a nap! This made for a difficult shoot, but Heather did a great job capturing a few beautiful shots of my growing little man.
Here are a few…
He’s growing and changing so much! Soon it will be time for his TWO year photos! Wow!

Relay for Life 2011
(Almost all photos in this post are stolen from Keisha... She always remembers to bring her camera.. I never do!)
Friday night, we attended the Houston County Relay for Life. Aiden had SUCH a good time. We headed out there around 10:30 Friday morning to start setting up our team tent.
Aiden and Ryleigh played while we set everything up.. Here they are chasing a kite…
Opening Ceremonies began at 7:00 .. In spite of the rain everyone was out on the track walking and by 8:30 or so, the rain was gone.. leaving a nice cool night for everyone to enjoy. Aiden had a great time.. he danced to the music, played and ate all night long. Literally, all night.. He stayed up until 12:00!!
Our team took advantage of the “Jail and Bail” tent, ran by “Sheriff Woody”. Both Ricky and Pastor Paul had to spend some time in jail!
This year, everyone was allowed to decorate their own luminary bags and Aiden got right to work!! He personally colored each of the luminaries he bought for the special people in his life!
We had such a great time, and it was for a great cause! We are so blessed to be able to participate in such a wonderful event, with such wonderful people!

We All Fall Down!!
So, Aiden really likes to "fall down" .... I mean REALLY likes to fall down! He does it for comedic effect and will hold his head like he hurt it, but the giggles let you know he didn't. And he really enjoys "Ring around the Rosies" because he gets to "fall down" at the end. Here is video of him doing just that!
