SHOES, Momma!

Oh… he DOES love those shoes.  My boy doesn’t care for pants.. but he loves his shoes!

I Love My Boys...

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband.  I’ve always known that, and I knew he’d be a great father from the beginning.  However, I had NO idea just how great a Dad he would be.  It’s amazing to watch Aiden’s eyes light up with Tal walks into the room and I thoroughly enjoy watching them play together.  The older Aiden gets, the more excited he is to see Tal in the evenings.. and now that he’s no longer a baby and instead a full-blown toddler, he wants to run and play together from the time we finish dinner until it’s time to go to bed.  Its like his best friend has come over to play and he doesn't want to waste a minute!  I love my “boys” so much, and seeing them together just makes my heart melt.. so I thought I’d post a few of my favorite photo’s and videos of them together.

My kid likes Chocolate…

I think it’s pretty apparent that my little guy has his momma’s sweet tooth!  This is the mess he made with just one Twix bar.  He was so happy about his “mess” and was rubbing it off his cheek and eating it!

    
Awe, you just gotta love a chocolatey smile.. and what’s even better.. he managed NOT to get it all over the car seat! Yay!

Sprinkler fun!!

It’s hot outside.  I mean really, REALLY, hot! Needless to say, we don’t get outside to play as much as Aiden would like because of this. However, today Aiden decided he wanted to play outside in the sprinkler! He had never shown any interest in it before.  He actually screamed the last time we tried to get him to run under it, but today he asked Daddy to turn it on and proceeded to have a great time in it!

Happy Birthday to Aunt Cherish!

MawMaw, PawPaw, and Aunt Cherish came to visit us last Thursday and it just happened to be Cherish’s birthday!

We had a great time visiting with them, and we hope she had a great birthday!

Fun Times… and NOT so fun times

We had a great time visiting with Tim, Barri, Peyton, and “No no”.. and it went by too quickly.  We left for the air port early Monday morning. We were headed to Salt Lake City for a 2 hour lay over and then onto Atlanta and then finally, home to Dothan. We made it to Salt Lake City with no trouble and had time to eat and enough time and space to let Aiden burn off some of that toddler energy.

  

Then we headed out to Atlanta.. this was a three hour flight, not as long as the five hour flight out, but still (supposedly) the longest leg of our trek home.  We were happy that Aiden decided to stretch out in our laps and take a good long nap.  This allowed us to get a bit of a nap too!  However, the weather was a little rough in Atlanta so we had a little delay in landing.. and ended up getting there well after our flight was suppose to leave. Not to worry though, it had been pushed back a couple hours! .. Then rescheduled.. the cancelled!! We had no idea what was going on and spent several hours trying to find someone who did. Since it was weather related, there were SEVERAL flight cancelled that day.. so there were TONS of people in the same boat we were in.  We finally found out we were on standby for a flight leaving at ELEVEN that night but if we couldn’t get on that one, they promised we be on the first one out the next day… no thank you.

We ended up renting a car and driving home. They flew our checked luggage into Dothan, so we were able to pick it up the next day.  Even with this little bump (okay.. pretty big bump) in getting home, we still can’t wait to go back! We had such a great time.. and we always enjoy getting to spend time with them!

Lake Tahoe and a GONDOLA Ride!!

On Friday, July 1st we headed out for our last “trip” of our trip.. if that makes sense! We made a day trip to Lake Tahoe.  So Pretty! The roads were a little winding getting there and both Barri and I get terrible motion sickness…  so one of us had to sit in the back.. she volunteered, and even though she didn’t feel great when we got there.. we made it!

We took a gondola ride up to the top of the mountain and was able to look down on Lake Tahoe.. it was unlike anything else I’ve done! Such a cool ride and view. There was even snow on the top when we got off!
